The 2024 Community Photo Contest is now open for submissions!

Community members are invited to a rummage and bake sale hosted by the East Lansing Prime Time Seniors Program on Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26 with proceeds to benefit programs for area seniors.

The City of East Lansing announced that the Prime Time Seniors Program has been credentialed for the next two years by MiGen, Michigan’s primary provider of services, advocacy and connection to those LGBTQ+ Michiganders aged 45-plus.

In view of the inclement weather and in order to protect City employees and residents given the current road conditions, the City Manager and Mayor have consulted and agreed to cancel tonight’s City Council meeting.

In response to the current heat advisory and with the heat index expected to be at or above 100 degrees this week, the City of East Lansing is opening cooling centers at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center and the East Lansing Public Library.

A portion of Coolidge Road will be completely closed from the north side of Compass Drive to Lake Lansing Road beginning Monday, May 6. This portion of the roadway is tentatively expected to reopen after Friday, May 10.
