The City of East Lansing will host its first ever Canopy Champions Challenge, which runs April 1-19. The Department of Public Works and Environmental Services will announce the winner on Arbor Day (Friday, April 26).

The City of East Lansing is cosponsoring “Recycle Rama,” the region’s largest recycling event, on Saturday, April 20 at the Ingham County Health Department parking lot, 5303 S. Cedar St., Lansing, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The MDOT Major Road Improvement construction project on Coolidge Road began today (Monday, April 15). During construction, two lanes will be closed to traffic.

The City of East Lansing is pleased to announce that Andrea Smith has been selected to serve as the Interim Finance Director. She takes over from Penny Wright, who retired due to health issues.

A portion of Coolidge Road will be completely closed from the north side of Compass Drive to Lake Lansing Road beginning Monday, May 6. This portion of the roadway is tentatively expected to reopen after Friday, May 10.
